Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine 1st Class Welders for a project located in or around Norfolk, VA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience plus $120/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Multi-pass All Position Fillet and Butt Welds using the Following Processes: SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GMAWP
Heating Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch
Shipboard Sub-assemblies
Staging
Air Carbon Arc Gouging
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 Years of Marine or Naval Shipyard Experience as a 1st Class Welder
Experience Working in a Physically Demanding Environment, Shipboard Sub-assemblies, Ladders, Staging, etc.
Familiarity with OSHA Regulations Relative to the Shipbuilding Industry
Ability to Properly use Fillet and Butt Weld Gauges
Able to Pass Various Weld Tests
