Our firm is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented Permanent Employment Attorney (Defense/CA Barred) to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned attorney specializing in employment law, with a strong background in advising and representing employers in a wide range of employment matters. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Employment Attorney (Defense/CA Barred), your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including but not limited to, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes.
2. Representing clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis to advise clients on potential legal problems.
4. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
5. Preparing and filing legal documents, such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.
6. Developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect clients and the business environment.
8. Working collaboratively with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Employment Attorney (Defense/CA Barred) role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in California (CA Barred)
3. A minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing as an Employment Attorney, preferably in a defense role.
4. Proficient understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in litigation and court procedures.
6. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on facts and figures.
