Position Overview:
We are seeking a ZScaler Engineer to play a pivotal role in the deployment and ongoing optimization of the ZScaler Platform within our organization. This position is critical for someone with extensive experience in ZScaler implementation, particularly within large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will be a champion for adopting best practices, ensuring that our transition from traditional VPNs to ZScaler Private Access (ZPA) is seamless, secure, and efficient. This role involves significant collaboration and communication, requiring strong skills in both areas to keep the team well-informed and aligned with project progress.
Core Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for ZScaler technology, guiding the deployment and continual enhancement of the ZScaler platform to meet organizational security needs.
- Strategic Planning: Lead planning sessions to develop a comprehensive project plan for the ZScaler services delivery, ensuring all aspects of the deployment are considered and accounted for.
- Decision-Making Authority: Make informed decisions on deployment strategies and plans, aligning them with organizational goals and the current project phase focusing on replacing VPN with ZPA and deploying site and branch connectors.
- Project Execution Leadership: Collaborate with project managers to guide the execution of project deliverables, steering the project towards successful production implementation of ZScaler services.
- Best Practices Advocacy: Promote and facilitate the adoption of best practices in managing a production ZScaler environment, ensuring operational excellence and security.
- Training and Development: Provide essential training to stakeholders on daily operational responsibilities, ensuring a smooth transition and competent handling of the ZScaler platform.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Craft comprehensive policies and procedures for the lifecycle management of ZScaler services, including user access control and system monitoring.
- System Monitoring and Auditing: Take responsibility for the general maintenance of the system, ensuring adherence to processes, conducting audits, and striving for improved system reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek out and implement improvements in the delivery and management of the ZScaler platform to enhance performance and user experience.
- Platform Administration: Administer the ZScaler platform to achieve a matured state of operation, ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with business requirements.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience: Demonstrated experience in ZScaler Implementation, with a strong understanding of its application in large enterprise environments.
- Advocacy Skills: Ability to serve as an advocate for the organization on best practices related to ZScaler and general cybersecurity measures.
- Communication Proficiency: Strong communication skills are essential, with a commitment to providing regular status reports and maintaining open lines of communication with the team.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in ZScaler or related cybersecurity platforms will be considered an advantage.

Pay: $143,929.00 - $180,275.00 per year
