This role will help our Mobile Engineering team to build quality in products that secure mobile devices, application, and data.
The Mobile team at Zscaler is responsible for developing a cross-platform client application for Windows, MacOS, Android, IOS and Linux, to securely steer endpoint traffic to Zscaler cloud. You will ideally have worked on a VPN and/or ZTNA client application and understand the intricacies multi-platform client apps. This is a technical position and you will be involved in all aspects of product development lifecycle - requirements discussion/analysis, design, scope estimation, planning, implementation, code reviews and unit testing, documentation, POCs, deployment and continuing engineering.

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$175,000 - $225,000 USD

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain MAC applications and frameworks
- Work with product managers to translate the product requirements to technical requirements.
- Translate designs and mockups into high quality code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Help maintain code quality, coding standards and automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer escalations.
Required Skills:
- Experience in Objective C, SWIFT AND C++
- Experience in MAC networking stack. iOS experience is a plus
- Basic to good knowledge on Network stack development experience, specifically for VPN client type applications is a plus
- Strong experience and understanding of networking protocols
- Experience with PKI, network security technologies and protocols is preferred
- Strong knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is preferred
- Knowledge of the Mac/iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and Apple Push Notifications is preferred
Desired Skills:
- Experience implementing VPN, firewall type solutions on Mac
- Experience with Mac platform
- Experience in security industry
- Worked on platform-level component specific to Mac
