Job Description
The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) is hiring a therapist to work in our Santa Maria Daniel Bryant Youth and Family Center (DBYFC).
DBYFC consists of multi-disciplinary team of behavioral health professionals who provide safe and effective outpatient substance abuse treatment and other services for Santa Barbara County youth struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
We are looking for Licensed or Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Professional Clinical Counselor with a passion for helping youth and families to become part of our team. Trainee or MA/MS Student in Practicum considered for the right candidate.
This position includes training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), an effective treatment for a wide range of disorders that affect the youth we serve, including patients with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. CADA will be instituting and expanding DBT at DBYFC and this position will play a key role in that.
Qualifications:
LMFT, AMFT, LCSW, ACSW, LPCC, or APCC with current registration with BBS
o (Trainee or MA/MS Student in practicum considered)
Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults
Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred
Duties:
Individual therapy with youth
Screening, assessment, and diagnosis of youth
Working with parents/families in support of youths treatment
Coordinate weekly services for youth taking part in DBT
Rate of pay dependent on qualifications and experience, range is: $24-$30/hr
(Starting Rate $24 hr+ Trainee, Starting rate $28/hr+ Associate MFT, CSW, or PCC)
Rate increase for bilingual (Spanish/English) & for relevant training/experience

Clinical supervision (group and triad) provided for associates/trainees
There is a possibility of this job being part time. We would need a commitment of at least 20 hrs/wk for successful implementation.
Hours are generally 10:00am-6:30pm as youth are mostly available for treatment in afternoons/evenings.
