Overview:
Job: Full-time Youth Pastor Hours per Week: 35-40hrs Non-Exempt
Job Purpose
The Youth Pastor is responsible for the spiritual development of Living Hope Church Mid-High and High School youth.
- Directs the youth ministry by developing programs and events that cater to the spiritual and social needs of youth within the church. Provide weekly services, retreats and other events for students.
- Develops middle school programs and mentors the middle school volunteers.
- Develops relationship with local schools and is available to visit and participate in sport and school events.
- Creates an active presence on social media.
- Coaches, mentors and develops volunteers into youth leaders.
- Researches and selects age-appropriate curriculum for youth.
- Serves as after-hour pastoral support for church youth.
- Ensures fiscal responsibility and adheres to the departmental budget.
Qualifications
1. Maintains an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
2. Able to mentor and shepherd volunteers in the Christian life.
3. Has a passion for teaching youth about Jesus Christ, instructing them in a loving and positive manner, while maintaining discipline and order.
4. Loves and respects all people.
5. Exudes a sense of humor and a positive attitude.
6. Shows strong team player ability with the rest of the staff and congregation.
7. Demonstrates a committed attitude toward the church’s vision and leadership.
8. Work ethic is dependable, responsible, self-motivated and creative.
9. Theological training from an accredited school is preferred.
10. Desire 3-5 years of related experience in a church setting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
