Position Summary
Provide a brief preliminary, person-centered screening of risk, mental status, medical stability, and the need for further evaluation or other Mental Health services. Personally deploy and/or assign deployment to support staff within required timeframe. Provide support, supervision, training and development, and oversight to unlicensed staff. Serve as primary liaison between the Crisis Response Team and the agency’s management team. Serve as the primary contact with the program representatives and MCOs regarding implementation of the model, program fidelity, and reimbursement issues. Be available 24 hours/7 days a week to respond to client crisis and/or Crisis Response Team needs as they occur.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure service delivery is consistent with the program standards:
- Receive referral inquiries, screen for eligibility, gather referral information, and manage assignment of referrals. Be available to accept referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
- Be available to deploy and/or assign deployment staff in response to crisis calls.
- Act as primary back-up for Crisis Response staff, and be available for immediate consultation 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Arrange for coverage when unavailable; help arrange back up coverage for team members as needed.
- Ensure clients are seen within the required response time.
- Ensure staff is properly trained and operating according to program standards.
- Provide a minimum of 4 hours per month of clinical supervision to all staff.
- Provide a minimum of 1 hour per month of individual supervision to all staff.
- Provide staff with constructive performance-based feedback, helping them utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate their own performance and effectiveness.
- Model and develop in therapists behaviors that emphasize recognition, encouragement, collaboration, team participation, effective problem solving, accountability, and respect for cultural differences; promote view of mistakes as learning opportunities; offer emotional and technical support; assist in advocacy efforts as needed.
- Monitor quality of services: Accompany staff regularly on home visits; ensure staff’s behavior with clients facilitates de-escalation of crisis and problem solving.
Administrative and Organizational Responsibilities
- Schedule and maintain a flexible workweek in order to meet the 24-hour requirements of the program.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is completed according to program standards and submitted in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to MCOs for reimbursement.
- Collect, review and approve agency paperwork according to agency guidelines.
- Maintain documentation of clinical supervision as outlined by the program standards.
- Review, revise and approve all clinical documents sent to outside parties.
- Follow guidelines for contacting the program manager and/or clinical director.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Participate in community groups and build strong relationships within the local community.
Requirement
- Graduate degree or greater in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field.
- Be fully licensed in the State of Louisiana as a Mental Health professional (LPC, LMSW, or LMFT).
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals, exercise discretion, maintain client and employee confidentiality, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle in good working condition, and automobile liability insurance that meets minimum agency requirements.
- Possess current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Be at least 24 years of age, and must live in designated service area.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Complete a pre-employment TB test.
- Have no finding on the Louisiana State Adverse Action List
Typical Working Conditions
- Requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Work is performed in home/office environment, the community and client homes. Conditions in client homes may include tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, mold and other allergens, and other conditions common to domestic environments.
- Requires travel to client homes and throughout the community.

Pay: $20.00 - $100.00 per hour
