Qualifications:
3-5 years of school age care program management
3-5 years of special needs inclusion management
3-5 years of youth service program management
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide leadership in the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive school age care program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate school age care site facilitators and inclusion staff.
- Work with site facilitators and inclusion staff to provide the best possible program for school age care students and families.
- Develop individualized, written behavior management strategies (inclusion plans) and train program and support staff on the appropriate implementation of each plan.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for the Kids Connection and Extended Day programs.
- Attend parent meetings as needed to review child's progress.
- Monitor new enrollments and set up intake conferences with parents / guardians of students with special needs.
- See that staff development opportunities on site are provided as needed, including assigning tasks that allow staff to grow in the abilities.
- Approve staffing patterns, including assigned hours for sites.
- Communicate necessary district, department, and program information to staff in a timely and consistent manner including policies and procedures.
- Conduct a quality assurance process at each site including the establishment of site goals and sit evaluations.
- Keep abreast of research and trends in the school age care and special needs fields and make recommendations to program design.
- Develop and coordinate the registration process.
- Meet regularly with staff, including site visits.
- Monitor overdue parent accounts and provide support for fee collection in collaboration with the billing secretary and site facilitator.
- Follow and implement State of Minnesota and Minnesota Department of Education requirements for development and implementation of youth service programming.
