The mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety, stability, and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.

Job Summary:

The Family Support Worker (FSW) will focus solely on transportation for the youth in night-to-night placement in Circuit 6, including morning pick-ups and evening drop-offs. The FSW establishes and maintains an exemplary customer service standard in the delivery of services to children, families, community providers and other FSSSC staff. This position will be a part of our direct service personnel.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Coordinates and executes necessary transportation for children in an efficient and timely manner. 90%
  • Participates in staff and other meetings as scheduled by immediate supervisor. 10%

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required, with at least 2 years of college preferred.

Experience:

Prior successful work-related driving experience preferred. Proven safe driving record required. Familiarity with community services in the area. Prefer experience in child welfare or working with at-risk youth.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:

Valid driver’s license. Driving records will be checked using Motor Vehicle Records from the department of Motor Vehicles.

Other Requirements:

  • Clear a Level II background screening.
  • Clear a reference check (professional and personal).
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside.
  • Clear a substance abuse screen.
  • Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment.
  • Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the company’s automobile policy.
  • Provide copy of automobile insurance.
  • Provide proof of, and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100,000/$300,000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
  • Clear an E-Verify check to substantiate that the successful candidate meets the Department of Homeland Security authorization requirements to work in the United States (for more information visit www.dhs.gov/e-verify).
