Kassirer Sports is run by a former professional Wimbledon tennis player.
We are hiring skilled, youth sports coaches to teach afternoon classes running from January 8th through June 5th, 2023.
Sports included are: Basketball, Tennis, Soccer, Track&Field, Ultimate Frisbee, Pickleball and Volleyball. Students are ages 5-14. Classes will be held at elementary and middle schools In Richmond, El Sobrante and El Cerrito
Richmond, El Sobrante and El Cerrito Shifts start in January and meet weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 2:45pm-6:00pm and on Wednesdays from 1:30pm-4:45pm. You can work up to 16.25 hours weekly. If you are driving more than 25 minutes to get to a school, we will reimburse for gas as well.
We have additional 1.25 hour shifts in El Cerrito and Kensington available during the week. Times vary but are approximately 2:40pm-3:55pm except Wednesday which meets an hour earlier, if you need an earlier shift.
Coaches can teach 1-5 days per week, based on your availability.
Requirements to Coach:
- 17 years of age or older
- Have your own transportation
- Skilled athlete in sport(s) you want to coach - beginners and novice athletes.
- Positive, Patient, enthusiastic demeanor
- Punctual and able to commit to a schedule.
- Enjoys being around kids and is confident in managing a group of 15-20 kids
- No coaching experience required; if you are 20 years of age or older.
- (if you are 17-19 you must have some experience working with youth)
- Clear DOJ finger printing with no priors
We Provide:
- training on how to run classes and lesson plans
- kid sized equipment
- all admin
- rosters
- schedules based around your availability
Pay:
- $36-$40 per hour depending upon experience. (2.25 hour shifts per day, including 15 minutes of set-up)
- Coaches are hired as part time employees Coaches earn 1 hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours working.
- We pay out Sick Leave as a bonus at the end of the year, if it's not taken.
- Coaches are paid by direct deposit every 2 weeks.
- Reimbursement for Live Scan finger printing which is required prior to starting
- Option: if you own a company, we can hire your company to provide coaches (you and any others) as an independent contractor.
We run additional classes all over San Fran Bay and Sacramento throughout the school year.
