Job Title: Yoga/Fitness Instructor

Reports To: Yoga Coordinator

Description

The position will develop and teach yoga and/or fitness classes at Climb Iowa. These classes are primarily taught at our Grimes location, but we have plans to teach in our East Village location in the future.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct and lead yoga and/or fitness classes

Assist students as needed during classes

Demonstrate positions during classes

Provide great customer service and lead by example

Create appropriate yoga classes for Climb Iowas customer demographic

Maintain a healthy relationship with customers, community, and staff

Keep the gym clean, organized, and updated

Be ready to adjust to emergencies such as work subs, weather closures, etc

Address customer requests and concerns promptly

Availability/Hours

Hours are flexible. Most hours will be on weekday evenings during class offerings.

Qualifications

Previous yoga teaching experience with 200-hour minimum yoga certification

Other fitness certifications (TRX bands, Mat Pilates, etc.)

Display sound judgment and preserve confidentiality

Enthusiastic attitude towards climbing and our community

Ability to act with tact and diplomacy to a varied audience

Strong relationship-building skills customer, co-workers, and strategic partners

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Good detail-orientated organizational skills

Previous customer experience required

Must pass a background check

Ability to adhere to all rules and policies Climb Iowa has implemented

Ability to lift 50 pounds
