JOB TITLE:Yard/Warehouse Laborer
REPORTS TO: Feeder Yard Manager
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Metalico Niagara Falls (2133 Maple Ave. Niagara Falls, NY 14305)
HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturdays 7:30AM-11:30AM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturdays 7:30AM-11:30AM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload scrap metal materials.
- Clean and prepare the job site in a tidy and safe manner.
- Use a variety of tools and machines: blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
- Sort and process scrap metal according to grade and size.
- Communicate with managers, supervisors, co-workers, and customers clearly and respectfully.
- Must be able to work the assigned schedule.
- Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in all kinds of weather/seasons.
- Required to wear proper PPE (steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders a plus
- Ability to lift 50lbs. and stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of the various ferrous and non-ferrous metals a plus
- Quick learner who can follow directions
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
