SalaryModern Yachts Hampton Bays is seeking a skilled yard hand with machine operating experience to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate machine to move boats up to 18,000 lbs and 38 feet long, in addition to moving equipment and materials around the marina.
- Shrink wrapping and general maintenance.
- Load and unload boats onto trailers for transportation
- Place boats in and out of water using proper lifting and securing techniques
- Assist with marina maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment and organizing the work yard.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating a travel lift or similar machine, preferably in a marina or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
