Job Title: Yard Operator

Summary: Responsibility executing all yard activities daily based on direction from Manager/Team Lead. The Yard Operator will be responsible for efficiently and effectively working in our scrap tire recycling center Additionally, the Yard Operator plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety within the yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform all yard functions to ensure the efficient and effective receiving, unloading, separation, shredding, and loading of all scrap tires.

· Operate shredding equipment and machinery to process scrap tires efficiently.

· Remove sidewalls from truck tires using appropriate tools and techniques.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization within the yard, including proper storage and disposal of materials.

· Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

· Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and targets.

· Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

· Responsible for all assigned work and follow up of daily tasks completion to Manager/Team Lead

· Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure reports are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.

· Conduct work in a manner that promotes safety; ensure compliance in accordance with OSHA, OH EPA and other appropriate standards.

· Other duties: Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

· Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions., lift 30 - 50 pounds consistently,

Education and/or Experience:

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
