Yard Jockey - Weekend

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Jockey to join our team. The Yard Jockey will be responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring that they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision; as well as follow all safety protocols and can work efficiently to ensure there is no traffic back up in the yard.

Schedule is Friday - Saturday; 7am-7pm

Principle Accountabilities

• Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truck
• Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading
• Perform daily safety checks on yard truck and report any issues to management
• Assist with loading and unloading of trailers as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized yard
• Communicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operations

Essential Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL licensing preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a yard truck or similar equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Punctual and reliable
