Job Description
This is a 2nd Shift Position. Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Control the Las Vegas Distribution Center yard and maintain flow of trailers into and out of the dock doors
- Move trailers within the distribution center yard and direct outside carriers for maximum efficiency
- Conduct start of shift trailer inventories
- Maintain the yard tractor (oil, preventive maintenance, fuel, etc.) by up channeling requirements to the Warehouse Manager (1st shift) and to the Shipping Coach (2nd shift)
- Accurately, efficiently and safely handle and operate material handling equipment and any other equipment needed to put away, re-warehouse product within the warehouse or onto trailers
- Serve in the warehouse in areas directed by the Coach or Department Coordinator when not actively moving trailers and coordinating yard activities. May also be required to serve in the receiving area, as needed, to assist in the unloading of trailers
- Ensure safe yard practices (jack stand placement, movement of trailers, placement of chocks, etc.) are adhered to at all times
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working at the Moen Distribution Center; previous experience as a Yard Jockey Is desirable
- Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, night vision and ability to work in low light settings
- This is a highly active and physically demanding job and ability to bend, kneel, reach, pull, crouch, stoop, balance, climb and descend ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, move equipment, walk, and the ability work in extreme temperatures outside of the facility are required
