Yard Helper

Overview:

Niels Fugal Sons Company is looking for a Yard Helper to help organize, clean and take care of the yard area.

Responsibilities:

• Unload deliveries using forklift or other approved equipment
• Clean and maintain warehouse and surrounding yard area including trash bins
• Organize material in their specific locations by hand and/or with equipment
• Help crews load material throughout the day
• Fix broken lights/doors around the office
• Move vehicles/equipment around the yard
• Ensure that the Company Safety Program is followed
• Ensure that the necessary safety equipment is available

Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to operate forklift/backhoe/trackhoe/loader
• Class A CDL desired
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working around/with heavy equipment
• Physical requirements (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to preform essential functions): While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
