The X-Ray Technologist will be expected to position patients, shoot, x-rays and process them proficiently. Working with pediatric patients requires the applicant to be patient, kind, and be easily able to explain the process and positioning to the patient/parent.
- Taking/processing X-rays
- Maintaining an Xray log
- Correctly positioning patients for X-rays
- Correctly shielding patients/parents to reduce radiation exposure.
- Obtaining radiology reports from an off-site radiology service
- Scanning/filing reports appropriately into the patient’s chart
- Helping our clinical staff with patient care such as taking vital signs and obtaining patient medical histories
- Applicant must have a positive attitude, be able to work well with others and be able to maintain a professional work environment with coworkers.Our schedule works on a rotating system. A full-time position would be every other weekend and 3 weekdays. Part time would be a variation of this schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited RT School or program
- 1 year of experience shooting pediatric films
- Current BMO, NCT or LMRT license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with straight-arm DR machine, preferred
- Live within 30 minutes of clinic locations proposed for on-call assignment
