Job description

 

 

 

The X-Ray Technologist will be expected to position patients, shoot, x-rays and process them proficiently. Working with pediatric patients requires the applicant to be patient, kind, and be easily able to explain the process and positioning to the patient/parent. 


 

  • Taking/processing X-rays
  • Maintaining an Xray log
  • Correctly positioning patients for X-rays
  • Correctly shielding patients/parents to reduce radiation exposure.
  • Obtaining radiology reports from an off-site radiology service
  • Scanning/filing reports appropriately into the patient’s chart
  • Helping our clinical staff with patient care such as taking vital signs and obtaining patient medical histories
  • Applicant must have a positive attitude, be able to work well with others and be able to maintain a professional work environment with coworkers.Our schedule works on a rotating system. A full-time position would be every other weekend and 3 weekdays. Part time would be a variation of this schedule. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited RT School or program
  • 1 year of experience shooting pediatric films
  • Current BMO, NCT or LMRT license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience with straight-arm DR machine, preferred
  • Live within 30 minutes of clinic locations proposed for on-call assignment
