About the Job:
- Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician
- Operates DR equipment
- Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time
- Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area
- Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure
- Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law
- Operates portable radiographic equipment and monitors its operation
- Complies with infection control procedures
- Responsible for performing EKG examinations
- Responsible for inspecting and maintaining equipment and company vehicle
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- ARRT certification or eligible for ARRT registry within three months of hire
- Current BCLS and CPR certifications
- Must complete annual education requirements and maintain regulatory requirements
- Possession of a valid driver's license and meeting insurance underwriting requirements
- Ability to read, interpret documents, and draft routine reports and correspondence
- Effective verbal communication with customers and employees
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic, computation, and interpreting data
- Capacity to apply common sense and follow instructions in standard situations
- Associate's Degree (A.S.) in Radiologic Technology from a two-year college or technical school
- Less than one year of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
