X-Ray Technologist

About the Job:

• Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician
• Operates DR equipment
• Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time
• Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area
• Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure
• Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law
• Operates portable radiographic equipment and monitors its operation
• Complies with infection control procedures
• Responsible for performing EKG examinations
• Responsible for inspecting and maintaining equipment and company vehicle

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• ARRT certification or eligible for ARRT registry within three months of hire
• Current BCLS and CPR certifications
• Must complete annual education requirements and maintain regulatory requirements
• Possession of a valid driver's license and meeting insurance underwriting requirements
• Ability to read, interpret documents, and draft routine reports and correspondence
• Effective verbal communication with customers and employees
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic, computation, and interpreting data
• Capacity to apply common sense and follow instructions in standard situations
• Associate's Degree (A.S.) in Radiologic Technology from a two-year college or technical school
• Less than one year of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
