X-Ray Technician

About us

Alabama Regional Medical Services is a FQHC in the metro Birmingham area providing quality healthcare and related services to all patients regardless of their ability to pay.

Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment
- Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards

Experience:
- Previous experience as an X-ray Technician preferred
- Proficient in anatomy knowledge and medical terminology
- Familiarity with hospital or clinical settings
- Knowledge of coding and medical administrative support
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs and perform basic life support if needed
- Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care

Requirements:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
