Job Description:
Automotive Drivability Diagnostic Technician Strong aptitude for diagnosing drivability issues on all makes and models Customer satisfaction is a result of your personal work habits and ethics and is of utmost importance as part of your job function. The Automotive Drivability Diagnostic Technician is also responsible for setting goals for personal service improvement, and monitor progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our customers
• Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns
• Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results Qualifications:
• Strong aptitude for diagnosing drivability issues on all makes and models
• Ability to process through drivability issues with a strong pace
• Experience with manufacture diagnostic equipment a plus
• Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers
• ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
• Meet or exceed hourly goals of 50 hours per week
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
• Professional appearance and strong communication
• A desire for long-term career development
Job Requirement:Ideal candidates will have:
Experience in performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair service on various vehicle makes and models.
Proven track record of achieving or over-achieving goals
Outstanding communication skills
Professional appearance and work ethic
Great attitude with a high-energy personality
Superior customer service skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Ability to exercise good judgement
Valid State drivers license and good driving record
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have technical aptitude displayed by ASE certification
Technical or trade school degree preferred
