Physical:
- Maintain proper stock levels of inventory items.
- Keep all inventory prices up to date.
- Organize the parts room in an efficient manner, so all parts are readily available.
- Monitor and control all vendor-managed inventory items.
- Track and issue all monthly blanket purchase orders.
- Work with engineering group to issue purchase orders for Capital Appropriations.
- Work with accounting group to coordinate month-end close requirements.
- Issue all service-related purchase orders.
- All parts must be put into stock on the day delivered.
- Ship parts back to vendors using RMA or RGA and complete bill of lading.
- Must be able to work well with vendors.
- Must own an automobile and be able to pick-up parts as needed.
- Report immediately to your supervisor any safety problems, machine issues, vendor issues, that may effect the production equipment.
- Use/wear all required safety devices and comply with all safety regulations and policies.
- Adhere to all personal clothing cleanliness and hair covering requirements.
- Responsible for reporting food packaging safety problems to plant management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- In the incumbent's absence these responsibilities will be transferred to another Storeroom Clerk or designee.
Position Requirements:
- Must be trained in and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies.
- Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities
Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One - two years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of CMMS, preferably Maximo or MicroMain.
- Knowledge of inventory control.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical parts & tools.
- Good communication skills.
- Detail orientated.
- Basic math skills.
Physical:
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Walking/standing approximately 4 to 5 hours per day.
- Climbing stairs occasionally, climbing ladders rarely.
- Bending/stooping occasionally.
- Kneeling/crawling very rarely.
