Wound Care Surgeon

Job Responsibilities:

• Assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients, specifically those with acute and/or chronic wounds, and ostomy management
• Education as well as management of fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues
• Work in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan and perform patient assessment and treatments
• Oversee inpatient, outpatient wound services and the hyperbaric oxygen treatment
• Perform teaching and quality control for the wound services
• Function as member of team to review wound services performance, policies and initiatives.
• Work in an article 28 Center when not in surgery
• Join the Wound Care team

Job Requirements:

• Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, or Wound Care Surgery
• HBO (Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment) Certified
• Broad and in-depth technical knowledge and skills related to the practice of medicine and Wound Care
