Wound Care Nurse

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with wounds, injuries, or other skin conditions. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in promoting healing and preventing complications.

Duties:
- Assessing and evaluating patients' wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan
- Cleaning and dressing wounds using sterile techniques
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring patients' progress and documenting changes in their condition
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
- Educating patients and their families on Wound Care techniques and prevention strategies
- Providing memory care support for patients with cognitive impairments
- Assisting with family planning and pain management for patients in need
- Utilizing medical terminology accurately in documentation and communication
- Collecting and processing specimens for laboratory testing

Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in Colorado
- Proven experience as a Wound Care Nurse or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Wound Care techniques, including debridement, dressing selection, and infection control
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and other clinical procedures
- Familiarity with memory care protocols for patients with cognitive impairments
- Strong understanding of pain management principles and techniques
- Ability to phlebotomize accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide high-quality patient care

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
