Worship & Creative Arts Pastor / Director

Crossover Church is seeking a Worship & Creative Arts Director to join our team.

Crossover Church is a creative multi-ethnic church located in the urban context. We are located in Tampa, Florida with thousands (in person and online) experiencing our services live every weekend in a rebuilt former Toys R’ Us store. Most of our growth has come from unchurched and dechurched people. We now have a great balance of churched, unchurched, dechurched, and re-churched members. Outreach Magazine listed us as one of America’s Most Innovative Churches. We have been featured in several mainstream news outlets as well as Christian Outlets: USA Today, CBS News, BET News, Tampa Bay Times, TBN, 700 Club, and Charisma Magazine. Crossover is looking for a high-capacity and innovative musician, singer and leader to be our Creative Arts and Worship Director. They will be responsible for mentoring worship leaders, recruiting talent and rallying people around the vision.

You Are: A passionate & gifted musician and vocalist and can prove it! A natural communicator on stage and off, Passionate about using Music & Media to reach people for Christ A fan of Hip-Hop, R&B, Spoken Word, Reggae, Gospel, EDM and Soul

You Will:

· Lead a team of other worship leaders and musicians

· Lead worship services (3 services on Sunday and on 1 Wednesday)

· Lead a weekly practice with musicians and singers

· Create new music

· Model & Teach believers how to enter into worship

You Must:

· Love Collaborating - not competing with other talented creatives

· Recruit, Inspire and Lead volunteer teams

· Push the envelope under pressure

· Be creative with limited funds

You Have:

· At least 5 years track record of proven music leadership in a Multi-ethnic church of 500 or more or comparable environment

· Leadership gifts that attract and inspire others

· A left brain that matches your right (must be organized)

· Experience with Planning Center and CCB or comparable databases as all our planning and organization is done electronically.

You Know:

· What’s Hot and what’s Not musically - both Christian and Mainstream

· How to update old classics and compose originals

· How to reach Skeptics and Teach Believers

· How to feed yourself - spiritually and musically and to train others to do the same.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the music industry, and be creative and passionate about music. The Creative Director will be responsible for the overall strategy, vision, and execution of the musical program at their assigned location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for the musical offerings at their assigned location.
• Oversee the development of programming, including selection of performers, design of sets, and development of programming.
• Oversee the development of programming for their assigned location, including productions, concerts, and special events.
• Manage staffing levels for their assigned location; establish and maintain a schedule for staff performance.
• Manage all aspects of staff development; oversee all staff development programs.
• Ensure that staff safety is considered in every aspect of musical production planning and execution.
• Ensure that all musical events at their assigned location are held on time and to budget.
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by staff on site.
• Ensure that all on-site security requirements are met.
• Oversee the hiring, training, termination, discipline, compensation, benefits, and training of all staff on site.
• Oversee the maintenance of all Tampa, FL music licenses at their assigned location.
• Manage any Tampa, FL music licensing issues that may arise at their assigned location.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Music or related field required

Experience: Previous experience in music industry or related field preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
