Temporary Designer (Entertainment - Art & Design)

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the creation of scenic design packages which include detailed set elevations, sections, ground plans as well as material and scenic paint callouts. artwork for special projects produced by Entertainment including but not limited to concept art and 3D models.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide show set drawings including but not limited to, ground plans, detailed scenic elevations, sections details, fabrication notes, material call outs, and scenic paint details.
• Revisions for artistic alignment and/or value engineering efforts as requested by Senior Manager/Project team.
• Accountable for color elevations, and creation of CNC files.
• Provide concept illustrations.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Must have a detailed understanding of drafting for scenery and scenic fabrication, working knowledge of Sketchup, Photoshop, and AutoCAD.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree is preferred.   

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years' experience in theatrical design, or film & television design execution or television scenic elevations required; focus on shop fabrication drawings, detailed sections, material and scenic paint callouts. Experience requirements may vary depending on complexity of project and skill set required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
