Job description

Job Summary:
The sales professional partners with the primary Worldwide Account Manager on customer development with large freight opportunities or maintains primary LTL relationship with customers to generate bundled opportunities. Servicing an existing customer base is a primary responsibility of this role. Focuses on retaining profitable freight business and influencing customers to utilize services that align capacity and lane optimization and price realization. Monitors industry trends and customer Freight logistics needs to ensure that appropriate responses are formulated and communicated. Utilizes expertise in complex service, regulatory restrictions, and automation and integration capabilities to generate freight and bundled opportunities. New customer acquisition typically requires up to twelve months.
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:

  • Expand and maintain customer revenue by focusing on the freight business by aligning with the primary WWAM Regional, discussing the customer's supply chain with decision makers, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing freight solutions.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with internal functional teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
  • Fosters an outstanding customer relationship by regularly engaging with the customer to provide business reviews, deliver value proposition and maximize customer utilization of FedEx services.
  • Exhibits outstanding communication skills including verbal, written and listening to learn the customer's business and leverages emerging technology and FedEx internal systems to drive compelling business proposition.
  • Manage and execute key success factors to meet quarterly goals.
  • Strong business acumen skills, project mgmt. skills and ability to generate creative solutions based on customer needs.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills needed for LTL pricing and contract renewals for region's largest LTL accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/equivalent and two (2) years of business-to-business sales or related FedEx business experience required. Ability to travel overnight as required.
Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
