Job Description
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Education and Training (E&T) Center’s Program Director of Employer Services, the Workplace Education Coordinator will facilitate and support the implementation of employer informed and industry focused Workplace Education programs designed to provide workers with language, literacy and related skills instruction on the job so that they can maintain employment, advance in their careers and participate more fully in their family and community lives.
The Coordinator will be a self-starter and will work with employers to implement Workplace Education programming at various employer locations and is responsible for the intake, assessment, enrollment and career advising of each participant of the program. The Coordinator is responsible for managing the paperwork and data required to meet the programs grant and contractual obligations.
The Coordinator will also manage the ESOL service delivery and identify and support the ESOL instructor to ensure the Workplace Education Program is being delivered based on service agreement requirements.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
Program Coordination
- Serve as point of contact for managing the implementation logistics for Workplace Education programs at employer locations
- Conduct all of the intake and enrollment activities for participants enrolled in the Workplace Education program including determining eligibility against grant requirements, collecting all enrollment eligibility documentation and completing paperwork
- Create and maintain participant files ensuring compliance with grant requirements
- Conduct assessments on participants prior to Workplace Education program start dates to determine ESOL/academic levels as appropriate as well as long term career goals
- Maintain weekly participant attendance records for all Workplace Education programs
- Secure ESOL instructors for Workplace Education contracts and complete all contracting paperwork
Service Delivery and Career Advising
- Support the ESOL instructor for Workplace Education to ensure that ESOL programming is being delivered per service agreement requirements and as appropriate for program participants
- Collaborate with leadership at employer sites to facilitate career counseling for Workplace Education participants with a focus on employment advancement
- Meet with Workplace Education participants to establish employment goals and monitor progress
Grant Reporting and Data Tracking
- Ensure timely data entry of enrollment and outcomes data
- Assist Program Director of Employer Services with Workplace Education reports for grant funders as required
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 2-5 years of experience in workforce development, career services, ESOL programming, career counseling, employer relations or a combination of experience is required
- Best Plus and/or TABE CLAS-E certified preferred
- Experience working with apprenticeship, incumbent worker and/or on the job training programs preferred
- Experience with grant reporting and tracking program outcomes data preferred
- Strong computer skills include MS Office suite and comfortability entering and managing data in a CRM system. Experience using Apricot database or equivalent preferred
Compensation: $58,000.00
