The Operations Manager position is responsible for the planning and executing of all aspects of the program including personnel, equipment, service and technical and financial performance of the division. This position frequently interacts with customers, peers, subordinates, executives and vendors.
* Responsible for the overall safety implementation for assigned rigs.
* Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems, staffing and personnel logistics.
* Manage Safety (Recordable Rate), Personnel (Turnover Rates, Costs (Maintenance and Repair, Materials, & Supplies, Labor) and Operational Efficiency (Rig Repair Time, Rig Move Time, Maintenance & Repair.
* Manage drilling operations to minimize rig down time and rig operating expenditures.
* Provides and supports rig managers regarding daily activities on the rig including safety, training, promoting internal personnel.
* Ensures Rig Managers complete and submit all necessary documents including but not limited to IADC Rig Reports, Incident Reports, Supply and Maintenance Requests, JSA, Stop cards and HR forms.
* Responsible for the overall safety implementation for assigned rigs.
* Responsible for enforcement and clarification of Company policies and procedures.
* Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as safety meeting and briefings.
* Responsible for adherence to Company training/safety programs.
* Communicates with Maintenance insuring all scheduled maintenance is being performed, and unscheduled repairs are addressed in a timely manner.
* Maintains frequent communications with the Managing Members on status updates and operations of rigs.
* Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
