1. Provide strategic leadership and direction of Workforce Development operations and funded Initiatives.
2. Provide leadership, mentoring, development opportunities and subject matter expertise to create and maintain a high performing Workforce Development team.
3. Develop and implement program staff matrix.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant organizations, business partners, media, institutions, and governmental entities to enhance efficiency of operations.
5. Oversee the day to day operations of Workforce Development operations, inclusive of assessing and monitoring effectiveness of staff performance initiatives utilizing quantifiable metrics.
6. Develop and/or assist in the development of proposals and grant applications for new programs and expansion of programming.
7. Establish and maintain meaningful working relationships with public and private sector entities and employers via personal visits to develop functional organization relationship and to provide for employment opportunities and placement of employment for clients in employment training initiatives.
8. Assist in the identification of low-income community needs workforce training needs.
9. Oversee the design and development of Workforce marketing brochures and material.
10. Plans and conduct various community based forums (e.g. job fairs, business and community fairs and educational presentations).
11. Assure the integrated collaboration and dissemination of program information and services to other Agency programs.
12. Prepare, review and submits required reports detailing program performance and accountability for Board, Chief Executive Officer and various funders.
13. Monitor program budget and financial status, and assure fiscal viability of operations.
Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications for this position are listed below, with the ideal candidate possessing a Master Degree in Business, Business Management, or Business Administration preferred, or a combination of training, education and experience that is the equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provide the required knowledge and abilities.
