General Responsibilities
Operates, inspects and maintains the Pumping Station(s); Reservoir(s) and/or Dam(s), and all its appurtenances.
Essential Job Functions
- Inspect the dam and its appurtenances for any visible sign of failure or damage. Knowledge of emergency procedures for the pump station(s), reservoir(s) and dam(s) and the area required.
- Maintain the security of BWW properties (i.e., land, water, watershed, equipment, buildings, etc.).
- Operate, maintain and inspect the pump, reservoir, and dam raw water valves.
- Operate and maintain all equipment (i.e., tractors, boats, trimmers, chainsaws, etc.).
- Patrol the lake and watershed for abnormalities such as pollutants, hazards to the public, encroachment, destructive insects and signs of fire.
- Conduct inspections of the marina and facilities.
- Perform maintenance and janitorial duties of buildings, grounds and property lines.

- Collect, analyze, and deliver water samples for testing monthly as required.
- Complete beaver dam and wild hog removals. Remove animal caucuses from around all raw water sites.
- Assist with repairs of 280 Diversion Dam and upkeep of Hwy 119 well sites.
- Assist with setup/breakdown as needed.
- Perform all work safely in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. Comply with all safety and health standards and guidelines issued by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- Valid driver's license required
- Passing grade on the BWW Entrance Exam required
- Vessel license required or must obtain within six months of the hire date
Experience
Six (6) months of water plant operations, pump station, or maintenance experience required. Knowledge in mechanics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, and welding. Must have basic computer skills.

Work Enviroment
- High noise levels; work indoors and outdoors, exposed to extreme hot/cold/wet weather conditions
