Work Study Student Worker - Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment

Work Study Student Worker position open in the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment department.


As a work-Study Student Worker, you will gain several invaluable benefits:

• Practical, hands-on experience in the fields of higher education, specifically in dual credit (growing field nationwide);
• Exposure to higher education administrative processes, student engagement strategies, and educational support mechanisms;
• Interactions with both high school and college environments allow the work-Study Student to expand their professional network, opening doors to future educational and employment opportunities; and
• Resume enhancements. 

Provide support and customer service to Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment students/parents and our high school partners.
Other duties include may include clerical/office work, using a computer and Microsoft Office software, answering phones, making copies, cleaning work areas/assigned areas, etc.

* Current BHC student
* Customer Service/Ability to work with the public
* Submitted a FAFSA for the current school year
Other skills/experience may be requested or specified by the department and/or hiring manager at BHC.

The Federal Work Study Program provides jobs for students at Black Hawk College demonstrating financial need. Eligible students typically work between 6 - 15 hours per week.
In order to qualify for the Federal Work Study Program, you must:
* Receive Financial Aid
* Be approved for Work Study by Financial Aid and Human Resources
* Current BHC student enrolled in 6 or more credit hours per semester
* Cumulative 2.0 GPA (per the Academic Progress Policy www.bhc.edu/academic-progress)
BHC students who don't meet the above eligibility requirements, may be eligible for non-Work Study positions. These positions are subject to budget limitations/availability of funds and are not always available.
