Sr. Implementation Delivery Manager - Wealth Management Trust & Investment Platform
The Senior Implementation Delivery Manager will play a highly visible role within the WM Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) by orchestrating the modernization of the WM Trust & Investment Advisor Platform, from design through implementation, to meet business-defined outcomes.
The Senior Implementation Delivery Manager will be a member of the program leadership team, which will have oversight of 100-200 resources working on multiple complex programs running in parallel. Responsibilities include program management, solution design and implementation. Additionally, the Delivery Manager will play an active role in leading one or more program teams as needed.
The Delivery Manager will report to and collaborate closely with the Director of Trust & Investment Platform Modernization, who is accountable for platform vision and business outcomes of the anticipated multi-year $250 million Platform modernization initiative. The WM Trust & Investment Platform is a suite of tools and capabilities utilized by WM front office advisors in management of high net worth client portfolios, with ~275 billion in platform AUM that accounts for ~60% of WM revenue.
Responsibilities include:
Program Management

• Lead comprehensive program management
  • Develop, document and maintain project plans
  • Budget and resource planning
• Identify and measure progress towards key milestones across program and sub-programs:
  • Record Keeping, Wealth Data, Workflow, Advisor tools, Reporting, Trading (Order Management System)
• Implement effective project management methodologies and control techniques
• Lead Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process and other project status requests
• Develop and lead program governance structure, including recurring executive touchpoints

Solution Design

• Assist Enterprise-Business Architect on solution design to meet business-defined outcomes
• Invest time to understand rationale of business-defined outcomes and WM advisor needs
• Assist in identifying and quantifying incremental value-add deliverables
• Prepare materials and artifacts to document solution design as needed
• Assist with vendor evaluation and selection

Implementation

• Lead orchestration of implementation roadmap
• Partner with WM IT leadership on execution of sub-programs
• Facilitate communication and coordination across program
• Develop escalation channels to address issues
• Develop cross-BU relationships in support of program needs
• Lead one or more development or program teams as needed
• Adapt to change (e.g., budget changes, resource constraints)

Talent Management & Partner Development

• Foster a work environment that is positive, diverse, celebrates success and provides opportunity for growth
• Coach team members in ongoing development of personal skill sets
• Assist in talent identification and retention

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant work experience in solution architecture, program management or transformation programs
• Demonstrated success in leading large technology or data transformation projects
• Experience/understanding of investment operations a plus
• Knowledge of capital markets: equity, fixed income, alternative investments and risk management principles
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft suite
• Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree desired
