Do you have experience designing boards used to build wire assembly harnesses? Danfoss Drives is looking for a Wire Harness Board Technician for our Milwaukee, Wisconsin site to design, build, and manage all our wire harness boards. The Wire Harness Board Technician will be part of an operations team that works closely with engineering and wire assembly to design boards that allow the assemblers to produce quality harnesses in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build new wire harness boards with input from engineering, wire assembly and manufacturing engineering.
  • Manage inventory of existing wire harness boards and repair damaged boards as needed.
  • Participate in new product design with engineering to determine best methods to route wires and harnesses.
  • Ensure applicable teams are apprised of board design project status, timing, and potential resource constraints.
  • Establish a prioritization system for harness boards and assist with establishing design completion dates.
  • Troubleshoot issues with wire assembly team and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Stay well-informed on industry advancements to find more efficient and productive ways to build wire harnesses and boards.


Background & Skills

Qualifications
  • Two-year Associates degree with an electronics emphasis or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Office and Cirris software.
  • Fluency in schematic reading.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and soldering.
  • Ability to use various electrical hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to take initiative and be creative when designing harness boards from inception.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Strong persuasive skills and the ability to respectfully challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline driven environment
  • Strong time management and project management skills to organize and plan effectively in developing effective systems and processes.
