A specialty Greek wine importing and distribution company is seeking an experienced Wine Salesperson.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Follow/develop marketing plan for sales execution
- Both inside and outside sales. Local travel expected across NJ/NY.
- Stay in close contact with accounts, providing excellent customer service and executing sales in a professional manner.
- Work closely with superiors to develop the following:
- Sales goals and target customers
- Effective trade promotions that maximize sales
- Communicate with customers on a regular basis
Typical Customer Accounts / Market Overview:
- Restaurants
- Wine/Liquor Retail Stores
Recommended Skills and Prerequisites:
- At least 3 years of food/beverage industry experience
- At least 3 years of sales experience
- Demonstrate project management & leadership skills
- Must be comfortable with spending whole days out in the market visiting accounts, acquiring new accounts, and marketing our brands and products
- Superior analytical, oral and written communication skill
- Knowledge of Greek/Mediterranean wine, food and/or language
- High level of personal, work and professional ethics
- Helpful and enthusiastic "can do" attitude is a must
