Windows Systems Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC & Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:

• Provide system support, due diligence research, and decommissioning for Enterprise servers running Windows based software and operating systems
• Responsible for working with other Enterprise support teams, and external support vendors for hardware and network removals
• Work with decom team and related support teams to insure timely power down, validation, and removal of decommissioned hardware and peripherals
• Update decom system of records in various databases

Requirements:

• Knowledgeable about Microsoft Windows server based operating systems for system access, login, system review, and validation of current users and running processes
• Validation of hardware and serial number data to confirm servers match with documented server decommissions records
• Strong server administration experience focusing Client, Dell, IBM, servers and Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Knowledgeable about ITSM standards and change control procedures

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with use of BMC Remedy Service Management Software
• Familiarity with MS Office 365 software suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
• Familiarity with teleconferencing applications such as Skype, WebEx for meetings and instant messaging
