Windows Server Security Generalist (HYBRID)
Note: This position is primarily remote. However, candidates will be required to report on site in Raleigh, NC on occasion.
Job Description:

• The client’s Technology Services Division (TSD), seeks a qualified Windows Server Administrator to assist with management, administration, and maintenance of Virtualized Server environment.
• This position provides 24x7x365 operational support for 30,000+ Judicial and non-Judicial branch users across the state.

Responsibilities:
Windows Server Administration-

• Manage operation, health, and security of a Virtual Server environment.
• Research Vulnerability Notices when received and work with affected areas for patch or workaround deployment.
• Assist with management and maintenance of physical datacenter infrastructure.
• Respond to Monitoring System Alerts.

Active Directory User Administration-

• Manage Users and Groups.
• Provide Users access to requested resources.

General Administration-

• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance benchmarking.
• Provide support for issues ranging from single-user issues to system-wide problems.
• Assist with periodic testing of disaster preparedness for the NC Judicial Center Data Center.
• Other assigned duties.

Additional Responsibilities:
1.) Security Engineer Assistance.

• Teams sole Security Engineer has several security related projects and tasks that he needs assistance with. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
• Vulnerability Research and Remediation
• Monthly patch review and deployment assistance.
• Zero-day patch review and deployment assistance (if necessary).

2.) Access Request Assistance

• Team receives a large amount of access requests to various resources. This position will assist with fulfilling these requests as quickly as possible when able. If not, they will route requests to appropriate DCS engineer for fulfillment and notify them.

3.) Other tasks assigned to assist with the management of the Windows Server Virtual Environment.
Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong experience with Microsoft PowerShell tool scripting. Required 3 Years
• Experience with vulnerability remediation & patch management Required 3 Years
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy Objects. Required 3 Years
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) Required 3 Years
• Microsoft Patching experience. Required 3 Years
• Physical server management experience with CISCO UCS Servers Required 3 Years
• Any Enterprise Storage platform experience EMC a plus Required 3 Years
• Cloud services management experience, preferably Azure and AWS. Required 3 Years
• knowledge of common security standards such as PCI, FERPA, and NIST Required 3 Years
• familiarity with NC Statewide security standards. Required
