Key Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of data structures and their applications
• Software development using C/C+, Objective-C, or Java
• Strong competence and experience in Layer 2, Layer 3 networking, QoS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, programming and debugging skills
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teams
• Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways

Description
As WiFi team member, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing WiFi networking subsystem software across Apple products including iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV. You will also be working across software stacks (Frameworks and API, UI, OS services, and drivers) to maintain and productize features collaboratively with the hardware and software teams within all of Apple. You will own, drive and implement the full software development cycle - from conceptualization, design, implementation, to testing and measuring the success of the feature you develop. We want you to make intelligent compromises between several contradictory factors such as ease of use, performance and efficiency.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - Masters Degree is preferred.
Additional Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of different LAN and WAN technologies
• Knowledge of IEEE 802.11/WiFi Protocols.
• Experience developing software using embedded SDKs, frameworks and/or BSPs.
• Linux / Unix kernel networking stack knowledge and understanding of operating system fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of OO design principles and design patterns.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets. e.g., GDB, shell scripting, packet tracing (tcpdump, wireshark)
  

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
