The WIC Program Assistant works as part of a front desk team in a very busy office. Responsibilities include answering telephones, scheduling appointments, screening participants for eligibility, data entry, issuing benefits and managing client flow.
Verify client eligibility for certification in the WIC program regarding income qualification, identity and residence. Oversee benefit issuance for prescribed food prescription including (re)issuing food/formula prescription benefits, capturing participant authorized signatures for benefit issuance and security of WIC card stock. Perform confidential file managment tasks.
Provide education and information regarding participant's rights and responsibilities, authorized signatures,shoppers, WIC foods and using benefits at authorized vendors.

Experience:
