Requirements of the position: 

  • Has credentials of an International Board-Certified Lactation Consult (IBCLC) or has other certification in lactation management (e.g., CLE, CLC) or completed advanced training in lactation management
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • WIC CPA State Certification
  • Minimum one year experience in counseling breastfeeding women

The WIC Peer Counselor Supervisormanages the breastfeeding peer counseling program on a local program level and supervises the Peer Counselor(s).
