As a Pharmacy Technician, you will:
Help support our pharmacy services across the entire Madison area.
Bring your passion for helping care for patients through diligently picking and preparing medications.
Be a strong team player, highly detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time within a busy work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Facility Requirements:
oTraveler must have permanent address outside 50-mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile including resume, Medefis portal, onboarding documents).
Experience:
oTraveler must have previous Pharmacy Technician experience in inpatient/level 1 trauma facility or similar size hospital setting.
oTraveler must have sterile compounding experience - required (please include this work experience on the resume).
oEpic experience preferred.
oPrior traveler experience required.
Licensure and Certification:
oWisconsin Pharmacy Technician registration is required (please include proof of this in the profile).
oCPT Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred (please include proof of this in the profile).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
References
oNeeds 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
Floating
oTravelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.

***Greetings! Welcome to UW Hospital. Basic Arrhythmia competency is an RN requirement here.
You will be taking a 20 strip exam to demonstrate that competency and must get an 80% on the test and correctly identify our 4 lethal rhythms (Asystole, V-Tach, V-fib, and 3rd Degree AV Block)
Attached-(Uploaded to our existing documents) is a study guide and practice test similar to what you will take on Monday.

****All agency travelers must demonstrate competency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms before your orientation begins. Previous completion of PALS, ACLS, etc. is not acceptable as a demonstration of this competency. Instead, you will be expected to satisfactorily complete a 20 question test which consists of multiple choice questions and write-in rhythm identification. You must pass with an overall score of 80% and correctly identify 100% of the 4 life-threatening rhythms for your patient population (adult or peds). If there are any questions, please refer to earlier communication from UWHC to your agency. ****
