```Duties```
- Manage and oversee wholesale operations, including inventory management, order processing, and customer service with retail and wholesale nurseries, private individuals, designers, contractors, and plant brokers.
- Provide ongoing team direction around pruning, plant relocation, tagging and labeling, watering, weeding, propagation from cuttings, potting up cuttings, dividing plants as needed, and repotting plants from #1 containers to #3 containers.
- Oversee plant growth and quality in order to keep plants as sellable as possible and capitalizing on natural plant growth and bloom cycles.
- Create and implement annual and seasonal plant production plans that incorporate current plant quantities and product demand from sales
- Distribute product availability listings and circulation to customers.
- This requires an understanding of plant readiness and quality and the ability to communicate clearly to customers based on their needs. An understanding of upcoming plant readiness and other sales is also necessary for accurate communication.
- Manage recurring tasks that include ground cloth replacement and maintenance, greenhouse poly and shade cloth covering, application of pesticide and herbicide as needed,
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale customers, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional service.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Hiring, training, delegation and management of nursery associates.
- Support ordering of supplies and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with owner to develop pricing strategies and plans to increase sales volume.
- Analyze sales data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
```Requirements```
- Previous experience in a Wholesale Nursery role is preferred.
- Understanding of a wide selection of plants. A working knowledge of the rhododendron genus is a strong bonus.
- Strong knowledge of the gardening industry, including greenhouse operations and irrigation systems.
- Ability to multitask, be flexible and responsive to changing conditions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis, with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in landscaping or gardening.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a bonus.
