Veritas HHS is seeking a Western Outreach Specialist to work for the VA Paternity Establishment Program (VPEP) based in Richmond, VA. This position will travel and oversee the western part of Virginia in the Roanoke, Danville, and Lynchburg areas.

About this Position:
The Western Outreach Specialist is responsible for contacting programs and organizations of VPEP as well as training and documenting performance of those programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitors birthing facility's' performance and promptly assist hospitals with performance issues
- Conducts outreach to pre-natal programs, community organizations, and government programs serving pregnant women and young families
- Conducts trainings/presentations to Western region hospitals and community partners
- Provides program resources and incentives to hospital staff
- Attends community meetings and community events to promote the VPEP program
- Assists in preparing/revising educational and training materials
- Assists with developing a Western regional conference and Lunch and Learn
- Maintains relationships with community partners and cultivate new relationships
- Documents all interactions in database weekly
- Performs administrative duties such as organizing travel and associated expense reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, plus at least three year of experience with outreach, training, marketing, or other public-facing tasks; work experience may be substituted on a year-by-year basis for the degree requirement
- Strong presentation and customer service skills
- Writing and media development skills a plus
