Wellness Assistant

The Argyle, a beautiful Assisted Living Community in the Denver Highlands neighborhood, is seeking a PT (SUN, TUES, SAT) Wellness Center Assistant to work with our senior population to encourage and facilitate participation in our Wellness Center Exercise Program. This is an ideal job for someone with Senior Fitness, Caregiver or Rehab Aide experience, who has a lot of energy and can share that positive energy with the residents in the form of motivation and care for their lifelong wellness. The person in this position should be able to Assess and design an exercise program for each individual in the program, and have experience leading exercise.

The Wellness Center Assistant will:

• Assist residents to and from their Wellness Center appointments, including reminders for appointments and assisting with appropriate workout clothing
• Help ensure resident safety during exercise
• Monitor and record progress and participation with the Wellness Program
• Assist residents in performing their exercise prescriptions throughout the week
• Perform clerical duties associated with the program
• Motivate participation in the wellness program
• Lead by example
• Participate in employee wellness programs
• Lead group exercise as a part of our Activity and Employee Wellness Programs

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's experience working with seniors in a healthcare setting (or equivalent experience motivating seniors in a wellness initiative), will have a passion for fitness and a real desire to help senior adults live healthier lives through exercise. There is no educational requirement.
