HiFyve has a client on the West side of Chicago that is hiring for a Welding Engineer!
- $100K-$125K + Monthly Profit Sharing
- Full benefits package
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm
- Well known / Historical / Chicago Manufacturer / Family Owned / in business for over 100 years / Growing Company
Experience Needed:
- Experience in spotting necessary welding initiatives that will improve the manufacturing process
- Project management experience for welding initiatives
- Help support better product development by finding ways to improve the process
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing issues, root cause analysis and why something is failing or faulting
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to understand if the process capabilities at the site support a products design
- Continuous improvement / process improvement
- Programming robotic welders
- Ability to troubleshoot designs as it related to welding & fixtures
- Bachelors Degree or 5+ years of equivalent working experience
- GMAW & GTAW (stainless steel, carbon, aluminum)
- Robotic welding (GMAW)
- Are you a certified welding inspector?That would be a +
- Do you have your AWS Welding Certification?That would be a +
- Do you have SolidWorks or SolidEdge experience?That would be a +
