Job Requirements:
- Follow the WPS, as specified on the applicable job card, weld plates together using FCAW and GTAW
- Locate material, verify grade, size, and quantity by visual inspection and physically measuring material
- Troubleshoot routine process problems
- Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner
- Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
- Posses Mechanical Aptitude
- Posses basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Must be available to work any shift
- Able to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance
- Able to pass all pre-employment requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to demonstrate welding skills in the 1,2 & 3 F positions and 1,2 & 3 G positions using GTAW and FCAW
- Ability to safely operate a lift truck up to 40,000-pound lift capacity
- Ability to safely operate hand tools such as grinder, hammer, wrench, and pry bar
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and standard measurements
- Previous work experience in an industrial environment
