Job Summary of Wedler/Fabricator
This position operates various pieces of equipment to fabricate materials per customer specifications in conjunction with quality requirements, safety standards and manufacturing philosophies within a team environment. Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Summary of essential Job functions of Wedler/Fabricator
Ø Works from and interprets fairly complicated sketches, drawings, blueprints, routings, product specifications
Ø Produce high quality product of superb craftsmanship
Ø Create custom fabrications made from Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Mild Steel for commercial and industrial clientele
Ø On-time delivery of fabricated metal products
Ø Production of products consistent with quality standards established
Ø Work with a heightened level of focus on SAFETY
Ø Work with good housekeeping and waste management practices
Summary of secondary Job functions of Wedler/Fabricator
Ø Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications required of Wedler/Fabricator
Ø High school diploma or equivalency
Ø 4 Years past experience in Metal Fabrication
Ø Industry Relevant Experience
Ø Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc)
Ø Strong skills in Welding both MIG and TIG
Ø Motivated and ability to Learn
Ø Attention to detail and accuracy
Ø Ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings
Ø Layout and Measure
Ø Knowledge of hand tools
Ø Grinding and detailed finishing
Ø Cutting, Sawing and Bending skills
Ø Industrial Forklift Operation
Ø Crane Operation
Ø A Technical Degree is preferred
Ø Ability to do detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
Ø Must be self-motivated, and possess the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, with a positive attitude.
Ø Good communication skills
Ø Hand dexterity and strength
Ø Safety conscience
Ø Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 100 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
