Responsibilities:
- Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications.
- Conduct basic operator preventative maintenance for welding-related equipment.
- Own and contribute to the improvement of performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
- Perform MIG/TIG and Pipe welding at a level that meets quality standards for Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.
Position Details:
- Welders play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the production of high-quality carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum products and subassemblies.
- The position involves a variety of tasks that may vary from location to location, and Welders are expected to uphold production standards while consistently delivering top-notch work.
- Welders are regularly required to stand, walk, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate controls for the duration of their shift. The role may involve working in small spaces, lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds, and requiring good hand-eye coordination.
- First and Second Shifts
- $32/Hr.
- $600 a week per diem
TESTS:
- Candidates will be required to get 85% on the blueprint test.
- Required to pass a basic tape measure test.
- Required to pass three ASME Section 1X code qualification tests.
- T11-01 (TIG) M21-05 (MIG) Base Metal: 10ga. 304 Stainless Steel Position: 2G Joint: 60 Degree Included Bevel (1/16” Land) (1/16” open root). Back gouge and weld root side. 2 Face Bends/2 Root Bends
- T11-02 (TIG) Base Metal: ½” Sch .80 304 Stainless Steel Pipe Position: 6G (Purge) 2 Face Bends/2 Root Bends
Tools & Equipment:
- Tape Measure
- Grinder/Sander
- Oxy/Acetylene Torch
- Plasma Cutter/Gouging
Qualifications:
- Must pass a respirator fit test.
- Basic reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
- Must pass Weld Tests associated with the product line before welding in production.
