General Requirements
Have a minimum of 2 years? experience in Gas Metal Arc Welding. (GMAW) (Mig & Pulse)-preferred.
Must be able to maintain the ability to produce status welds.
Must have a personal Welding Hood.
Have ability to read tape measures, levels and protractors. (digital & non-digital)
Maintain ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Report to work daily/on time.
Have an understanding of using a spreader bar. (Most products use spreader bars)
Follow all Safety procedures per Safety Policy handbook.
Responsible for all daily cleaning/PM?s for the entire Weld area / cell.
Maintain ability to read/understand all Traveler requirements for each product.
Responsible for documenting any poor quality via Quality Reject Sheet.
Sign off and document all datum points required of each traveler.
Production
All production must be completed daily.
Read travelers thoroughly prior to working on any product.
Responsible for documenting any poor quality via Quality Reject Sheet.
Must follow all Traveler procedures needed for each product.
Any rejected quality should be pushed to a designated area, with yellow quality reject tag explaining the problem.
Clean products of all BB?s during post Weld QC check to all products completed daily.
Clean product of any rough/sharp edges or weld wire.
Ensure all plugs have been installed prior to the welding process.
Maintain knowledge of operating spot welders.
Ensure Logos are in correct orientation on every product.
Maintain the ability to properly communicate any quality issues with leads/workers.
Reoccurring quality issues must be documented via RFA.
Maintain knowledge of all Assembly Tech / Weld Tech / Tube Marry Tech procedures.
Assist Tube Marry dept. / QC dept. / Finishing dept. when available/needed.
Preventative Maintenance / Safety
Wear ALL Personal Protective Equipment at ALL times.
Responsible for cleaning all tools daily.
Tools should be relocated to their proper place after each use.
Ensure the welding machine is operating properly. (Properly communicate with the Maintenance Manager / Lead man if the welding machine is not operating properly.
Report any issues with spot welders to the Maintenance Manager / Fabrication Lead.
Daily Cleaning/Stocking Requirements
Ensure all paperwork needed for Weld function is replenished each day.
Restock all nuts / bolts / plugs needed for the Fabrication process daily.
Cell walls / fans are to be wiped down no less than once a week.
With Lead man assistance, maintain stock levels of plugs / nuts / bolts on the production floor.
Ensure the paperwork area is clean and organized.
Welding machine is to be cleaned every Friday.
Sweep floor daily/as needed. All required chores must be completed daily.
Days: Sunday - Friday
Hours: 9:30pm-6:00am
Pay Range: $20.00-$25.00
